Donna is this week’s host for the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The Storms River Bridge was one of the first arch bridges in South Africa with a span of 100m over the gorge at a height of 123m above the river. In 1954 a Roman professor was appointed to construct a bridge over the Storms River to Connect Port Elizabeth to George via the N2.
Oceans apart are not enough to break this family’s bond.
Fishing boat mooring at Laaiplek harbour.

The bridge is impressive Aletta, but I loved the photo from the airplane and your thoughts about your connection to your children. Lovely.

I think you must always take great care in your posts. A nice variety, Aletta. and also great images. Bridges are a great work of art and to think hardly are the same, makes them that way. I am glad you included the airplane. To most, as you say, they are more than just a means of transportation. They truly connect us to family and friends in addition to travel. I think my favorite image is the rusty chain. Symbolism, yes. and also I see lots lot stories in that old thing. Very nice. Very nice.

I can identify with every one of these. New Zealand is so very far away … for me the distance to be covered is to Norway and Scotland …

Dis netso ‘n belewenis.

Hawens is altyd so besig en kry altyd iets anders daar. Ek sal wat wil gee om op n foto kursus te kan gaan!

Tina, my suster het vir my dit betaal.
