  1. The fever tree is my favorite tree, I fell in love with it as a child in East Africa. When I visited northern Kwa Zulu Natal for the first time decades ago, it was great to see it up there – but what fascinates me, is how it has been planted everywhere in SA now, and that it seems seems happy in these ‘strange’, colder weather places.

  2. Yes! These trees also remind me of Kipling’s description of “the great grey-green greasy Limpopo River all set about with fever trees” in his story of The Elephant’s Child.
