Birdwoods, a very special place in the heart of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Set in the countryside just 3km from Havelock North village, Birdwoods is a much-loved destination for young and old.
Enjoy a walk through the extensive gardens which display works by the internationally acclaimed stone sculptors of Zimbabwe, as well as recycled metal sculptures by both African and New Zealand artists.
The gallery is housed in the original church hall from St Peter’s in Waipawa, built in 1894, Birdwoods Gallery features New Zealand and African art and crafts including textiles, collectables, furniture, jewellery, basketry and ceramics.
