I am Aletta, a retired primary school teacher and now I am mostly at home!
My husband and I live on the West Coast of South Africa. We love to discover new places, being outdoors and to explore the surrounding area with family and friends!
I started this blog in 2013, to share some of my travelling photos and experiences, crafts and photography of whatever I find interesting.
I’ve always loved to create, whether with food or crafting and now at long last have the time to pursue my hobbies and interests.
Views expressed in this blog are all my own.
Thanks for liking my interview on BRASHLEY PHOTOGRAPHY – I realy appreciate !
I see you have a wonderful blog about South Africa. Would you mind if I follow it ?
Kind regards,
Rudi (from Belgium)

Looked it up on the map. Looks nice. Though it must be chilly right now. End of winter your way, right?

LOL. Enjoy as we move into winter. In Mexico it seems the rainy season will lead us straight into winter. And your jacarandas will bloom whilst ours do so in February… 😉

Is always amazing that the seasons are so different in the world.

And changing. We had temperatures in the 40’sC this summer in Paris and London. I’d never seen that.
(That’s 104F)

Even here we had some very hot days during our winter this year in the 30’°C! Then it dropped down to about 12 degrees!

Major drops right? There were 20C drops in Paris from one day to the other…
Climate change indeed. ❄️

Re Storage – please see my comments to Anne on Something over Tea, but you only really need to delete the photos from the media library, not all the post/text – unless your website is mostly photos of course. It’s relatively easy to shrink photos before posting.

I also like that you are at home now. I’ll have to work for about 5 to 7 years…
