Floral Friday #84

Floral Friday

Gladiolus ‘Green Star’ (Sword Lily) or Swaard lelie in Afrikaans is particularly attractive with its spikes of copiously ruffled, 3-4 in. (7-10 cm), lime-green blossoms. Each flower spike counts up to 12 blooms and rises among erect narrow, deep-green sword-shaped leaves. Spectacular on its own, in the summer garden or in a vase.

  1. Beautiful Aletta… I like Gladioli flowers, especially when they start to bloom. The ones I’ve seen over here are beautiful but by the time the top starts to open up, the bottom flowers are already dying off. Thank you so much for entering the challenge and giving us this great image.
