So many flowers on those trees! You will have to photograph one or more flowers close up. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
ooh never heard of these – isn’t it a lovely tree. I keep reading it as Silly Oak Tree though rather than Silky!! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
We have new ones planted along the roadway where we live – I can hardly wait for them to grow, they will be stunning. LikeLiked by 1 person
Ek het nou ook eers gaan oplees oor die gum tree. Brian het jou reeds reggehelp. Hier is ook heelwat van die bome. Baie interessante boom wat eintlik v Australië kom. Mooi en duidelike fotos. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Great photos Aletta. I must tell you though, it is not a Gum Tree. It is a Grevillea Robusta, a Silky Oak, one of the largest of the Grevilleas. https://backyardbuddies.org.au/backyard-buddies/silky-oaks/ LikeLiked by 3 people Reply

Silky Oaks are gorgeous, and all the more so when they are in flower.
