Palmerston North  commonly referred to by locals as Palmerston, or colloquially Palmy, is the main city of the Manawatu-Wanganui region of the North Island of New Zealand. We waited here for a bus to get to Waiouru to visit friends during our last visit there.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is the most beautiful garden in Africa and one of the great botanic gardens of the world.It is on the eastern slopes of Cape Town’s Table Mountain. Kirstenbosch was established in 1913 to promote, conserve and display the diverse flora of southern Africa, and was the first botanic garden in the world to be devoted to a country’s indigenous flora.
