Ficus carica is a species of flowering plant in the genus Ficus, from the family Moraceae, known as the common fig. It is the source of the fruit also called the fig, and as such is an important crop in those areas where it is grown commercial.

  1. I love green and am enjoying exploring your collection of greens here! I remember I had a fig plant in a pot once, I was happily surprised that it had fruit (this was in Belgium), and the plant itself grew very fast. It became too big for my tiny terrass so I gave it away.
