Travel theme: Transformation

This is the stick worm caterpillar that hides itself in the sticks to avoid predation.

The host plants are from the families: Poaceae, Birch, Willow, Poplar and Vaccinium. The caterpillars make a protective hull from grass, sticks or thorns in this case.

Later it transforms into a moth.
