One Word Photo Challenge: Beige

Beige is a term used for a range of pale brownish or yellowish colors. It is variously described as a pale sandy fawn color, a grayish tan, a light-grayish yellowish brown, or a pale to grayish yellow. It takes its name from the French word for the color of natural wool.

      1. 🙂 – my husband’s grandmother used to make her version of these all the time – and we have about a dozen format eh 1990’s – and we still use them – well three of them – and a few I have packed up as memory items to pass down… 🙂

      2. yeah – and hers were a different kind of cottony material – and like three ply – so they hold out the heat more than some – and I really like the soft feel of yours – it showed in the pics

      3. I know what you mean, I made tablemats with it.
        These in the photo’s are all cotton too, but more like a 4 ply and is very soft. They even make facecloths with it.
