Here is the original photo for this challenge:
Week 1:
For this image, I have used PicMonkey to boost the colours. I then sharpened the exposure slightly, but did not crop this photo. Next I used the HDR to change the Radius to 32 and the intensity to 274%!
Week 2
Here I changed the brightness and contrast, the colour saturation to 31% and the white areas to blue.
Week 3
I cropped this image and decided to give it more abstract look, by adding a bit more red, some brushstrokes and made the edges darker.
Week 4
I have rotated the photo to the left and changed the colour saturation to 73% to make it lighter. I then used Cross process Red for more contrast and changed the brightness to 29%. With the black and white option I changed the white areas to turquoise and made the blue darker and changed the red to purple!
What do you think?
Oh I love what you tried this week! It changes the subject completely 😃
So hard to decide… Mmm, Week 1 and the original for me. Great effort for the month!

No, I wouldn’t want you to change any of these edits. I was wondering how it would look if you approached the original in a softer way, I think flowers are the best subject for a gentle touch.

Lovely work in all four, I would love if one the edits was a softer, gentle version.

Usually not into abstract but I loved yours this month. Week 3, for its colour, just nudged out W4 for me.

This is a challenge just to decide which edit is the best … in the end, I chose the second week … I liked the intense feel of it.

I found it hard to choose between Wk1 and 3. In the end I went for Week 1 because it looks so natural, but enjoyed seeing the impact of your editing each week.

I really like the HDR effects – Week 2 wins hands down but I have to mention that it is so interesting the way you have taken this challenge this month. It has gone from original to something quite artistic. Great work, and something for me to aspire to.

For me Week 1 is the strongest as the tones feel most natural. In the other weeks the pictures tones feel they have been pushed too far.

Very interesting! I still like the original one. (That’s because I am old fashioned or maybe because I can’t really use those gadgets to chance the color etc)
