Yesterday was a bright and sunny day in Cape Town and I went to a large scale pop-up retail event.

I saw these fun chairs/stools of a product that we all love here in South Africa. (something like your Vegemite):

Thanks Cee for featuring my previous Oddball Challenge Post

Has been a long time since I have seen Marmite or Bovril. But Vegemite…that’s another story. Our youngest lived on vegemite and cheese sandwiches. And I must confess that a thick layer of vegemite on toast is not a bad way to start the day 🙂

Such a fun post and beautiful shots Aletta. Love that T-shirt. hahahaha. ‘Bly kalm, ons gaan braai.’ I’m clearly not a typical South African because I don’t like ‘braais’ much. Hate the smoke. It makes you stink. LOL! Bovril I love. Marmite gives me heartburn. 🙂

Thank you Sonel! I like braais perhaps because I do not have to cook! 🙂
I do not like Marmite at all!

Those are so cute. Both those products are too salty for my tastes but my husband likes them. BTW, you may want to post a new link at Cee’s because yours goes right back to her site, not here. 🙂

We have vegemite here – my children hate it. We also have marmite as well. Three years ago the big earthquake in Christchurch destroyed the factory that produced it. So New Zealander’s had to go without until the factory could be rebuilt. At one stage people were hoarding jars of them and they were selling for huge sums of money online. 😀
